Once upon a time, there was a little girl. Everyone liked her, especially her grandmother. One day, her grandmother gave her a little red hood. The girl loved it so much that everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.
One day, her mother said:
“Little Red Riding Hood, take this cake and this bottle of wine to your grandmother. She is sick and weak. Stay on the path and be careful!”
Little Red Riding Hood promised:
“Yes, Mother. I will be careful.”
Her grandmother lived in a house in the middle of the forest. Little Red Riding Hood started her journey.
In the forest, she met a wolf. Little Red Riding Hood did not know that the wolf was dangerous.
The wolf said: “Good morning, Little Red Riding Hood!”
Little Red Riding Hood answered: “Good morning, Wolf!”
The wolf asked: “Where are you going so early?”
“To my grandmother’s house. I am taking her cake and wine because she is sick.”
The wolf asked: “And where does your grandmother live?”
Little Red Riding Hood told him the way to her grandmother’s house.
The wolf had a bad plan. So he said:
“Little Red Riding Hood, look at all these beautiful flowers! Wouldn’t your grandmother like a nice bunch of flowers?”
Little Red Riding Hood thought: “Grandmother will be happy to get some flowers.”
So Little Red Riding Hood left the path and went deeper into the forest to pick flowers.

While Little Red Riding Hood was picking flowers, the wolf quickly ran to Grandmother’s house and knocked on the door.
“Who is there?” asked Grandmother.
The wolf answered:
“Little Red Riding Hood! I have brought you cake and wine.”
Grandmother was too weak to get up. “Just push down the door handle!”
The wolf opened the door, went to the bed, and swallowed Grandmother. Then he put on her clothes and cap and got into her bed.
After some time, Little Red Riding Hood had picked enough flowers. She remembered her grandmother and quickly went to her house.
When Little Red Riding Hood went inside, something felt strange. She walked to the bed and looked at who she thought was her grandmother.
Little Red Riding Hood asked: “Grandmother, why do you have such big ears?”
“So I can hear you better.”
“Grandmother, why do you have such big eyes?”
“So I can see you better.”
“Grandmother, why do you have such big hands?”
“So I can grab you better.”
Little Red Riding Hood became frightened.
“But Grandmother, why do you have such a big mouth?”
The wolf shouted: “So I can eat you better!”
The wolf jumped out of bed and swallowed Little Red Riding Hood. Then he went back to bed and fell asleep.

Soon, the wolf began to snore very loudly.
A hunter was walking past the house and heard the loud snoring. He wondered what was happening and went inside. There he saw the wolf sleeping in the bed.
At first, the hunter wanted to shoot the wolf. Then he thought:
“Maybe the wolf ate Grandmother, and she may still be alive.”
So he took a pair of scissors and carefully cut open the sleeping wolf’s belly.
First, Little Red Riding Hood came out. Then Grandmother came out too. They were both still alive.
Little Red Riding Hood quickly brought some big stones. Together, they put the stones inside the wolf’s belly.

When the wolf woke up, he tried to run away. But the stones were so heavy that he fell to the ground and died.
Little Red Riding Hood, Grandmother, and the hunter were happy that everything had ended well.
Grandmother ate the cake and drank the wine. Soon, she felt better.
Little Red Riding Hood thought:
“I will never leave the path again when my mother tells me not to.”
